Did you know that worms LOVE tea bags?
Last Friday, we had the privilege of working with Marc from Wyong Council, who presented a great workshop that reminded us about the benefits of disposing of our waste appropriately. Did you know that worms LOVE tea bags? YES! Worms love to eat the tea leaves, the bag, the string AND the paper tag. In fact, here is a great easy guide to keeping a worm farm. A great way to recycle food waste and help our gardens to grow healthy and strong plants! We also got to play a game by sorting different rubbish items into the red, green or yellow bins and also placing some food waste into the worm farm. There were only a few slip ups, so we were lucky to have council officers Bella and Richard on the job to sort out the waste to the right places! It's sometimes hard to remember what goes in which bin, so here are some great guides to help you. Waste management is everyone's business, not just Wyong Council. If we all take responsibility, we can reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill and ensure that our earth is managed well for future generations.
